March 2017- Amani Jayakody won a prize at the annual UConn Physics Department poster session (this poster session did not have ranked prizes) in the graduate student category, and Hope Whitelock won in the undergraduate student category.

March 2016- Ekaterina Sergan won a prize at the annual UConn Physics Department poster session (this poster session did not have ranked prizes).

August 2014- Ekaterina Sergan was the recipient of the 2014 Georgianna and Marshall Walker Teaching Award.

August 2014-  Susini deSilva won a prize at the annual UConn Physics Department poster session (this poster session did not have ranked prizes).

2013- Margo Staruch won first place at the annual UConn Physics Department poster session.

2012- Erin Seder tied for first place at the 2012 Jefferson Lab Users Meeting poster competition.

2012- Margo Staruch received the best poster award at the Material Research Society (MRS) 2012 Spring Symposium poster competition.

2011- Taya Mineeva won 2nd poster prize at the PANic11 19th Particles and Nuclei International Conference at MIT.
